It’s Friday, and I’m going to Canada tomorrow!!! YEAH BABY!!

I’m so excited, I can’t wait!!

Today, I had a visit from Maureen Dance who needed some help with her laptop. It was having problems sending email, and after a quick look I determined it was because she had Norton AntiVirus 2002 and Outlook Express was set to disconnect after Sending and Receiving. That meant that OE would disconnect right after Norton had taken charge of the outgoing email, so it couldn’t actually send it as there was no internet connection amymore!

She found it a bit hard to understand everything I was saying, which made things go very slowly LOL. I ended up missing my lunchbreak because she needed help… and just after she’d left, Sonal from the London office calls me.

At 3:30pm she tells me they have a problem with the scanner. It isn’t saving the files to their directories for some reason, and they needed the scanner working urgently. So I had to go up there immediately.

It didn’t take me long to fix the problem. I had to reset the Simple File Sharing option, which I had turned off last time I was up there, and then made sure all the passwords were set right. Then I restarted the ScanRouter service and suddenly all the scanned documents that had been saved on the copier appeared. Problem solved.

I got some food on the way back to the tube station, as I was totally starving. Got a train back to Sutton, and ate my lunch (after 5pm!)… then came home.

Now I think I’m gonna head to bed, as I have a LOOOOOOOOOOONG ass day tomorrow.
