I have just implemented “Another Handy Hack” courtesy of Arvind from movalog.com who shows us how to add a Save and Rebuild button to our template editing pages.

It’s very simple and works great, that’ll save vital seconds while updating my templates… it was always annoying to have to click two buttons, now I can click just the one.

The only bad thing about it is that it still shows the “Rebuild This Template” button after you’ve clicked on the new Save & Rebuild button.

Maybe Six Apart should take a look and think about adding it to the next release, fixing the little problem above!.

Update: With a little bit of feedback from me, Arvind has fixed any problems there were with adding a new message to the template page and his tutorial should work for everyone now!

Update 16/08/05: Amazingly Movable Type 3.2 will include a Save & Rebuild button replacing the old Rebuild one. No more hacking needed here!
