Short Range FM Transmitters Legal At Last!

As reported by El Reg, and a host of other tech sites, FM transmitters for your MP3 players are now legal in the UK as long as they carry a CE mark. I own a Belkin TuneCast II, hopefully it carries a CE mark or it’ll still be illegal!

The legislation banning them had been in place at least 57 years, technology has moved on a tad since 1949 when the Wireless Telegraphy Act was signed into law.
