On the 8th, I went to see Gogol Bordello for the 2nd time. The first time I saw them was last year, and I was just blown away by how absolutely amazing and energetic they are live. I get worn out just watching them jumping around on stage. Last night was just incredible – I love this band so much! No one else quite plays a mean Fire Bucket like Eugene!!

I started out just 3 rows back off to the left side, but after a while I just got too squashed and pushed around (could hardly move!), too hot (christ it was boiling up there!) and too sticky with sweat (and the beer some drunken twat had chucked over me) so I ended up moving away from the front after about half an hour and went nearer the back where there was a lot more room to jump around.

I’ve put together a playlist of videos I found on YouTube taken at the gig, 5 recorded by one person and the 6th by another, both standing right at the front of the crowd. From what I can tell, they must’ve been almost right in front of where I started out.

I didn’t bother recording any video of my own this time, but I did take a couple of photos.
