New Job
I have finally got a job!
I went for an interview at McDonald’s today, and they hired me. I start next week, in the kitchen.
After being out of work since June, I’m very happy right now to be getting back into employment.
Congratulations! Though it doesn't sound so glamorous, a job is a job in this economic climate. I was out of work for a few months and was so relieved when I finally found work, even if it was minimum wage.
Exactly. I've tried applying for jobs in IT all over London (Ontario) but no luck. Now at least there'll be some money coming in.
I don't actually work in the kitchen, yet. I am working front counter on overnights, so I serve customers and clean the entire lobby.
Since my restaurant is the closest to the University I get a lot of drunk students coming in after chucking-out time, which can make for some interesting orders.
