QuackScript has a varied selection of features, all of which are easy to use and configure through menus or dialogs. Some of the features included are:
Coloured text
Fed up with boring text, bring some colour to your chats. You can change the colour of your ordinary text, or change the colours used by the Expanders (see below).
Expanding text
Turn any abbreviations (at the beginning of a line only) into their full meaning through QuackScript, so typing "lol" shows "Laughs Out Loud". Add your own, or change the existing ones, it’s all up to you!
MP3 script
Easily play your music files through QuackScript, or use Winamp 5’s own playlist. The names of any files being played can be displayed in channel or in private. Winamp 5 is the only fully supported media player, although others may work.
Spam blocker
Fed up with spam getting in the way as you chat, with the QS spam blocker you can stop those private messages reaching you. Very easy to use.
Secure queries
Want to screen people who private message you? Use the built-in Secure Query function to easily filter all messages. It’s like Caller ID for IRC!
Away script
Got to leave your computer for some reason, let everyone know why, and how long you might be.
Clone scanner
Is that person who just joined a clone of another user? QuackScript will let you know. It is also possible to run a scan on existing users in a channel.
WHOIS lookups
Which country does a particular IP come from? Who owns that domain name? Save yourself unnecessary hassle trying to find out, and use the WHOIS search to find out without having to leave QuackScript.
Country of origin script
When someone joins a channel, appended to the join message will be the name of the country they are in, if their hostname ends in a country code.
